Description: SIXTH ANNUAL CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S DAY OF REFLECTION TO BE HELD MARCH 10TH AT SACRED HEART CHURCH in Brevard, NC

The sixth annual Christian Women's Day of Reflection will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Brevard on Saturday, March 10th, 2012 from 9 a.m.-3:15 p.m. This is a day to bring Christian women of all denominations together for a day of fellowship, worship and praise and sharing. Our topic this year is "Finding Hope in Today's World" and our speaker will be Dr. Maria Moore. Dr. Moore was exiled from Cuba to the United States as a child and raised by a single mother. Although poor, she went on to become an Oncologist and practiced for a time in Hendersonville. She now spends more of her time doing missionary work in Central America and Africa. Dr. Moore works with Christian Medical and Dental Association and has traveled to the House of Hope in Nicaragua, started an orphanage in Honduras along with her husband and traveled to Mbingo Baptist Hospital in Cameroon Africa to help care for patients and teach the physicians there how to care for oncology patients. Our music for the day will be provided by Rita Bright who has had a music school in Hendersonville for over 25 years and who writes her own gospel music. The day will consist of our speaker, music, small groups, testimonials and lunch. The cost is $10 and registration with payment is required before the event. The last day to register is March 6th and one can register by calling Debbie Felker at 884-5321. Sacred Heart church is located at 100 Brian Berg Lane across from Blue Ridge Community College in Brevard. Parking is limited and car pooling is suggested.
